Production Process
Styracosaurus is the one with a spike crown: a frill edged in long orange spikes and a single horn over the nose. On this unit the head is finished in a green that fades to yellow along the flanks, with the spikes, horn and toe caps picked out in orange, and a blue-green saddle pad on the back.
It runs on the same 24V chassis as the rest of the range: 350W brushless motor, two 12V 20Ah batteries in series, 150 kg load, 5–6 hours per charge. Sessions are set from 1 to 99 minutes and the car starts from a coin acceptor or a remote handset.
Price on configuration, since seat, control and battery options move it.
From the rider's side
A child sits inside the shell rather than on top of it, holding a handlebar at chest height with the feet on the moulded rests. The saddle pad sits over the spine, and the flanks carry the LED accent lights that run with the session.
The head sits forward of the bars, which keeps the spikes out of the rider's line of sight and out of reach of the hands.
From the operator's side
Coin mode suits an unattended site: token in, timer starts, the car stops itself at the end of the set time. Remote mode suits a staffed site, where an attendant starts each ride and can shorten a session when a queue builds.
Both are fitted. Session length runs 1–99 minutes, speed 1–10 km/h, and we normally set 3–5 km/h for indoor floors. A music file set is copied to an SD card in order, so the soundtrack can be yours rather than ours.
Power and charging
Two 12V 20Ah lead-acid batteries in series give 24V 20Ah, charged through the supplied 24V 20Ah high-current charger. A full pack runs 5–6 hours; empty to full takes 6–8 hours.
Where the day is longer than the pack, a second battery is the practical answer — a swap takes minutes and the unit keeps running while the first pack charges.
Service and spares
The controller is integrated under the belly with voltage and motor fault detection. Most faults are identified within five minutes; if the controller itself is the fault it is replaced as a unit, four screws and three harness plugs, without opening the shell.
Wear items are the PU tyres (120mm diameter, 45mm thick), the bumper strip and the seat pad. The three non-driven wheels are idlers; the drive is the right rear. Steering runs on six sealed dust-proof bearings.
Size, weight, movement
1.5–1.8m long, 0.55m wide, 1.0–1.5m high, 45 kg. Two people lift it into a van; no ramp needed.

Where it belongs
Playgrounds, theme parks, shopping plazas and small parks, on tile, concrete or rubber track. Not built for grass, slopes or steps.
What a session earns
Five minutes at 5–15 USD is the usual price point. At 10 USD and thirty rides over a Saturday afternoon, that is 300 USD through the till.
The real figure follows footfall and pricing. Operators usually add a second unit rather than lengthen the ride, and the second is quoted against the first.
Questions
Does one charge cover a day?
5–6 hours of running. A second pack covers a full day where the site runs longer than that.
Is it stable with an adult on board?
The rating is 150 kg and the batteries sit low in the frame. An adult with a child fits within it; riding rules are set by the site.
Are the spikes a hazard?
They are moulded into the frill and finished in the shell, not attached as separate pieces, and they sit behind the handlebar line.
Can we use our own music and voice-over?
Yes — the SD card reads files in order, so any audio you hold rights to can be used.
What if it fails mid-session?
The controller reports voltage and motor faults. Most are diagnosed in five minutes; otherwise the controller is swapped in minutes.
Tell us about the site
A photo of the floor and the length of run you have is enough for us to say what would need to change, and what the unit would be set to.
It sits in the dinosaur electric car range, alongside the larger ride-on dinosaurs for parks. Venue type and surface go into the quotation form.
