Animatronic Dinosaurs for Sale | Giant Dinosaur Models for Theme Parks
Animatronic dinosaurs for sale, from 1 m tabletop models to 20 m outdoor centrepieces, built for theme parks, museums, shopping malls and travelling exhibitions. Every model is made to your brief: species, pose, colour, movement set, sound and control mode, with separate indoor and outdoor builds. We handle design, production, crating, shipping documents and installation guidance, and you approve a 3D drawing before any steel is cut.
An animatronic dinosaur is a life-size mechanical dinosaur model built on a welded steel frame,
sculpted in high-density foam and covered with flexible silicone rubber skin. Hidden motors, servos
and pneumatic cylinders drive its head, jaw, eyes, neck, tail and limbs, so it breathes, blinks,
turns and roars on command.
How It Works
A square-steel frame is welded to the species' proportions, and the drive system — geared motors,
servo actuators and pneumatic cylinders — is mounted at every joint that moves. The skin is
layered silicone rubber over a sculpted foam body, which is why the animal bends and wrinkles
like real tissue instead of moving like a machine.
A programmable controller synchronises movement, sound and lighting, so the model can run a show
loop, react to visitors or be triggered by staff. Because the mechanics and the skin are separate,
single parts can be replaced without rebuilding the whole model.
What You Can Customise
Species & pose — any dinosaur or prehistoric animal, matched to a reference photo, drawing or museum specimen.
Size — 1 m tabletop and lobby models to 20 m+ outdoor installations.
Movements — 3 to 12+ independently programmed movements, from jaw and blinking to walking-in-place.

Manufacturing
How We Build an Animatronic Dinosaur: 8 Steps
Produced end to end in our own workshop in Zigong, Sichuan — the region known for the Dashanpu
dinosaur fossil beds. No step is outsourced.
1
Requirement & Design
We confirm species, size, movement list and site conditions, then produce a design drawing for
approval. Nothing is cut until you sign off on the shape.
2
Steel Frame Engineering
An anti-rust treated square steel frame is welded to the approved proportions, with load-bearing
points calculated for the joints that carry movement.
3
Drive System Assembly
Motors, servo actuators, pneumatic cylinders and linkage are mounted and aligned at each moving
joint, then run individually to check travel, torque and clearance.
4
Foam Modelling & Sculpting
High-density foam is cut to the 3D data, then hand-sculpted so muscle structure, skull shape and
posture match the species.
5
Silicone Skin & Texture Detail
Silicone rubber skin is applied in layers and hand-textured for folds, scales and scars — the step
that makes the model look alive once it moves.
6
Painting & Finishing
Base colour, stripes, shading and eye, teeth and claw detail are airbrushed and hand-finished to
your colourway.
7
Programming & Movement Testing
Movements are programmed and synchronised with sound and lighting, then the model is run
continuously and checked before sign-off.
8
Packing, Shipping & Installation
The finished model is dismantled into transport modules and packed in foam inside a reinforced
frame crate, ready for loading and export.
Why YESDINO
Why Global Dinosaur Brands Choose YESDINO
Founded in 2015 as Zigong Dino Culture & Art Co., Ltd. — a manufacturer, not a trading company.
The same workshop designs, builds, tests and ships every model.
Our Own Factory, Not a Trading Company
Design, steelwork, sculpting, skinning, painting, programming and testing all happen under one
roof in Zigong, Sichuan — so specifications and lead times are confirmed by the workshop, not a
reseller.
Species-Accurate, Life-Like Reproduction
Sculpting is checked against published palaeontological references for skull structure, limb
proportion and skin pattern, so the model reads as that species even in close-up.
Built for Your Climate & Your Site
Anti-rust frames, sealed drive components and UV- and water-resistant skin are specified for
outdoor use. Tell us the installation city and the materials are matched to it.
Worldwide Shipping & On-Site Installation
Models break down into container-friendly transport modules and ship by sea or air with complete
export documentation. On-site installation and operator training are available for most
destinations.
One Team from Quotation to After-Sales
A single project contact follows your order through design, production and shipping, and stays
reachable afterwards for spare parts and technical support. Your model's drawings stay on file.
Transparent Production Process
You get progress photos at the frame, sculpting, skinning and painting stages, plus live video
calls from the workshop — so you can watch your model being built before it ships.

Get a Free Quote & 3D Design Proposal
Tell us four things — species (or a reference photo), size and quantity, indoor or outdoor use
with the installation country, and your movement requirements — and we will send a written
quotation with a free 3D design drawing, usually within one working day.
Free 3D design drawing before you commit
Factory-direct pricing from the manufacturer
Shipping documents and installation support handled for you
Spare-parts kit and technical support after delivery
Price depends on length, number of movements, drive type (motor or pneumatic), skin and paint
detail, sound, lighting and control system, so we quote per project rather than publishing a
list price. Send us the species, size, quantity and site conditions and we will return a written
quotation with a free 3D design drawing.
2. Is there a minimum order quantity? Can I order just one model?
No. There is no minimum order quantity for our standard animatronic dinosaur models. A single
unit is fine, and most first orders start with one or two models.
3. How long does production take?
Standard models are usually completed within 2–4 weeks after the deposit and approved drawings.
Fully custom species and multi-unit park projects take longer. Your exact schedule, including
shipping transit time, is confirmed in writing on the order.
4. What sizes can you make? Can you build a fully custom dinosaur?
Yes. We build from 1 m tabletop models up to 20 m+ outdoor centrepieces, and every model can be
customised in species, pose, colour, movement set, sound and control mode. Send a reference
photo or sketch and we will match it in a 3D rendering before any steel is cut.
5. Can the dinosaur be used outdoors in rain and strong sunlight?
Yes, we build separate indoor and outdoor versions. Outdoor models use an anti-rust treated
frame, UV-stable and water-resistant silicone skin, and sealed motors and electrical components.
Tell us the installation location and we will specify the right materials and anchoring method.
6. How is the animatronic dinosaur controlled?
Standard control is an infrared remote with preset movement sequences. Sensor activation,
coin-operated or button-start operation for paid attractions, timed loops and an optional
control panel are also available. Sound and lighting run from the same controller.
7. What is the difference between animatronic, static and walking dinosaurs?
Animatronic models stay in place but their head, jaw, eyes, neck, tail and limbs move, making
them the centrepiece of an exhibit. Static fiberglass models do not move and cost less, which
suits scenery and outdoor trails. Walking dinosaur costumes are worn by a performer and move
through crowds, for parades and roaming entertainment.
8. How do you ship such a large model overseas, and do you handle installation?
Large models are dismantled into transport modules, packed in foam inside reinforced frame
crates, and shipped by sea or by air. We prepare the packing list, commercial invoice and export
documents, and provide on-site installation and staff training for most projects — or numbered
assembly drawings and video guidance if your own team installs.
9. What warranty and after-sales support do you provide?
Every model is fully tested before packing and ships with a spare-parts kit and a maintenance
manual. Warranty terms and the exact spare-parts list are stated in your contract. After the
warranty period we provide remote technical support and keep your model's drawings on file for
future repairs.
10. Will the finished dinosaur look exactly like the 3D drawing?
We approve the 3D rendering with you before production starts, so the shape, proportion and
movement layout are agreed in advance. Fine detail can vary slightly between a screen image and
hand-painted silicone skin, so we also send workshop photos at the frame, sculpting and painting
stages.
11. Do you provide 3D drawings or a demo video before I place an order?
Yes. Once you confirm species, size and movement requirements, we provide a 3D design drawing
for approval at no cost, and you can request a live video call from our workshop to see the
model during production.
12. Can I visit your factory or see a live demonstration before ordering?
Yes. Our factory is in Zigong, Sichuan, China, and we welcome customer visits, including the
sculpting, skinning and testing areas and a live demonstration of finished models. If travelling
is not practical, we can arrange a live video walkthrough of the workshop instead.
